Info Note on High Level Political Forum 2025
The 2025 High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) convenes under the theme “Reinforcing sustainable, inclusive, and evidence-based solutions to deliver the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs, leaving no one behind.” This year’s Forum includes an in-depth review of five goals, including Sustainable Development Goal 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
This publication presents key messages, thematic reflections, and global snapshots related to the implementation of SDG 5 across different contexts. It also explores the interlinkages between gender equality and other critical areas such as health, decent work, climate action, and strong institutions.
The publication aims to inform stakeholders, policy-makers, civil society actors, and development practitioners who engage with the HLPF process. It draws attention to persistent gaps and emerging opportunities to accelerate progress towards gender equality within the remaining five years of the 2030 Agenda.
